Cafe No:7
Nestled in the heart of Leicester's bustling city centre, where it neighbours the iconic Guildhall, is Café No:7 - a small high-street eatery run by staff from the St Martins Conference Centre and St Martins Lodge. Following a year-long closure induced by the nationwide lockdown in March 2020, our client was eager to make a ground-breaking comeback. Hoping to attract new clientele from surrounding businesses while still appealing to their regular customers, they asked us to completely redesign the café ahead of their grand re-opening in 2021.
One of our client's main goals was for the end result to reflect the lodge's design; ensuring a cohesive experience for guests enjoying breakfast in the café after their overnight stay. Mirroring the brand's vision, we set to work on creating a contemporary yet cosy environment, which retained the building's original features. Complementing the café's stone walls, which added natural texture to the space, we revitalised the establishment in May 2021 by jet-washing the existing stone flooring and furnishing the interior with stylish decor.
Elevating the fresh, new look, we upgraded the counter with modern adaptations, including a stepped infill to form an accessible ambient display. We introduced a mixture of styles to the space by adding pendant lighting to the windows with high-stool seating and flexible dining and soft furnishings; which provided plenty of comfortable seating options.
Go see for yourself!
