After dedicating several years to the café industry, our client decided to strike out on their own; by setting up a specialist coffeehouse in Coventry City Centre. Sharing an appreciation for freshly-roasted coffee and artisan hot chocolate, Cacao Coffee & Chocolate Co. is a recent addition to Coventry's Upper Precinct's Orchard Link. Determined to attract a broad range of customers, including: nearby workers; families, and couples;’ Cacao’ hired us to provide a budget-friendly interior design concept and supporting branding to tie in with their high-end business model.
Fulfilling the brief, we crafted a seamless design concept and layout plan that clearly embodied the instinctive luxury of coffee and chocolate.
Going for a luxe look with a subtle nod to the industrial style, we paired metallic details, such as lighting fixtures, with rich, dark chocolaty finishes. This timeless colour scheme was carried through to the branding, which knitted the design together flawlessly. Our early concept for the space and branding design saw us recommend malty chocolates, coffee pinks and smoky blacks, which beautifully highlighted the vibrant gold details we incorporated.
