Caffe Milano
We were invited to create interior design concepts for an exciting new franchise of a popular local coffee house and roastery in mainland Spain. Our objective involved seamlessly translating the brand identity into the interior of each concept space, while also adapting the design to suit varying spatial requirements across different locations.
Our client looked to maintain the distinctive identity of their brand, characterised by the vibrant palette of orange and black. They envisioned spaces that not only reflected the raw, rustic nature associated with the art of coffee roasting but also resonated with the warmth and authenticity of their Italian heritage.
Drawing from the brand's rich identity, we created a design narrative inspired by the coffee roasting process itself and the dark base palette. Rustic timbers and hessian coffee sacks found their way into the design, serving as a connection to the origins of the product while also providing purpose.
Learning about the brand's Italian origins, we added elements that reflected its heritage. Vibrant orange accents stood out in the design, honouring the brand's strong identity. Traditional Italian café chairs and ribbed glass pendant lights brought the atmosphere of old-fashioned Italian trams into the spaces, giving them a nostalgic charm.
